Lived and worked in Moscow. Studied at the Kazan art school by P. Benkov and N. And. Fechin (1903-1909), the Moscow school of painting (1909-1914) at A. E. Arkhipov, K. Korovin, L. Pasternak. Participant of exhibitions from 1909 he Exhibited at the exhibitions MUZHVZ, Moscow Association of Artists "Moscow salon", participated in the first exhibition of the society "Makovets" in 1922 was a member of the MKO (1927-1932).

In the 1920s he taught in VKhUTEMAS. Solo exhibition was held in 1920 in Moscow. The artist's works are in the Kaluga state regional Museum, Perm art gallery, the State Museum of Uzbekistan, in private collections in Russia and abroad.
