Thesis in the CVC made. The training took place at the faculty of painting, awarded the title of artist of monumental painting.

Designer, Illustrator. In the 1920s, he studied in one of the most brilliant and fruitful provincial

schools – Irkutsk art Studio-the Studio of I. L. Kopylov, who trained such masters as Peter Sokolov, miney cooks (later husband of A. Jacobson), Valentin Fedorov, Mikhail Scolari etc. In 1930 he graduated from the painting Department of the St. Petersburg Academy of arts where her teachers were K. S. Petrov-Vodkin and P. N. Filonov.

Already in his student years started to carry out orders of the publishing house "Detgiz". It is the illustration of books: Russian folk tales, works by Pushkin, Lermontov, Aksakov, Turgenev, Ostrovsky, Leskov, Shishkova, Kaverin, Marshak, Bianchi, foreign writers – brought A. Jacobson fame.

In the 1930 – 40-ies he worked in the Experimental printing workshop alongside with the leading masters of the Leningrad graphics: A. S. Vedernikov, G. S. designed to Vereisky, V. A. Vlasov, Y. A. Vasnetsov, B. N. Ermolaev, V. F. Matyukh, VI Kurdova, A. L. Kaplan, M. I. Buxom, M. N. Scolari.

In 1950 – 60th years has created a cycle of lithographs "Novgorod", dedicated to the work and life of the people of the village, which he knew firsthand: most of the time the wife cooks and M. A. Jacobson conducted in the village of Kutchino at Valdai – adjacent to V. Bianchi. After the death of the artist publishing house "Soviet artist" has released a set of postcards with reproductions of her works and a portrait.
