Mariotto Albertinelli (ital. Mariotto Albertinelli; 1474, Firenze — 1515, Firenze) Florentine painter.

At the age of 12 became a pupil of Cosimo Rosselli. In the Studio of his teacher, the artist became friends with fra Bartolommeo, in 1494, they had a common workshop. Around 1500 Albertinelli temporarily gave up painting and became an innkeeper. Soon, however, Albertinelli was bored with his lowly position and he again returned to painting.

His best work "the Visit" is stored in the Uffizi gallery in Florence.

Students Albertinelli was Pontormo, Innocenzo di Pietro of Francucci da Imola and Giuliano Bugiardini.

A Pupil Of Cosimo Rosselli. In the Studio of his teacher, the artist met fra Bartolomeo. They started their collaboration in 1508, but soon after Albertinelli temporarily gave up painting and became an innkeeper, saying (according to Vasari) that he was full of criticism and wants to do the "less difficult and more joyful labor." Giorgio Vasari also wrote that he was "a restless man, a fan of Venus and the good life." His best work "the Visit" is stored in the Uffizi gallery in Florence.

Mariotto Albertinelli, the son of Biagio di Bindo Albertinelli could be called the second fra Bartolomeo, the closest and most cordial friend of whom he was and not only for the fact that they are constantly together and talked and worked, but for the similarity of their manners in the days when Mariotto was really involved in the art. Throwing twenty years zolotorudnoe craft, which until then was engaged in the initial information in the painting he received in the workshop of Cosimo Rosselli, where he befriended Baccio della Porta, that they became one soul and one body; and their fellowship was such that when Baccio left Cosimo to make art on their own, as the master, then left him and Mariotto, and then for a long time both lived at the Porta San Piero Gattolini, doing things together.
