Biography and information

I consider a human being an integral part of my work. Therefore, my paintings with the background of nature and man together. Sometimes these are large portraits against the background of nature or urban architecture, sometimes they are not large silhouettes of a person.Andrey Gergelezhiu was born in Ukraine in 1989. An architect by training, an artist by vocation. I walked for a long time to color portraits and oil paintings. At first it was a pencil, then graphics with a black pen, layout also fascinated me for years and now I do not leave this occupation. From time to time he became more and more fond of such artists as Van Gogh, Amadeo Modigliani ... until it grew into an inextinguishable passion to see in front of him a blank canvas, oil paints and the image that will be in the picture. The process of working in the creation of color paintings fascinates me so much that I have been writing some of my works for 2 years, until I express everything that I wanted to depict separately in each painting. Thus, the work on each painting takes an average of a month. From this and the corresponding price for my works. Sometimes it takes 2 months for 1 painting, sometimes 2 weeks. It all depends on the complexity of the picture and the feeling that should appear in my pictures. I consider a human being an integral part of my work. Therefore, my paintings with the background of nature and man together. Sometimes these are large portraits against the background of nature or urban architecture, sometimes they are not large silhouettes of a person.

The passion to paint pictures exclusively against the background of nature or nature with urban architecture came to me after in 2017 I became a traveler of world importance, if you can call it that, having ridden a bicycle 10500 km from western Ukraine to China (the Tien Shan region). I spent 52 days alone in nature then and I remember my every day of travel. This is not my only trip in this style. Therefore, I cannot imagine whether I will be able to paint in the future without nature.
