From the section of the history of the site Miyamoto Shoko:

Masaru Miyamoto in 1880 in order to increase sales of tobacco and cigarettes to foreigners founded the company Moyamoto Shoko, which produced various products from silver in general and especially silver cigarette cases.
In 1899, the Moyamoto store was moved to the Ginza district of Tokyo, where it is located to this day. After the promulgation of the gold standard, which increased interest in gold and silver hardware, Miyamoto Shoko's sales even increased. In addition, at the beginning of the 20th century, the traffic of foreign tourists increased significantly, which also contributed to the growth of the store. In the wake of popularity, Miyamoto designed and manufactured his products for many diplomats, such as the Imperial House of Japan, the Department of Imperial Economy, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other government agencies. In 1919, Miyamoto founded the joint-stock company Miyamoto Shoko. In September 1923, the store suffered from the Great Kanto Earthquake, some products were burned, fortunately no one was hurt, and the store was opened three months later. Then, as a result of further efforts to improve product quality, this led to the fact that customers received a loan more than ever before.

In 1941, during the difficult times of World War II, to continue his activities, Miyamoto became a member of the Asahi Shimbun group of companies.

In October 1959, branches of the Miyamoto Shoko store were opened in Osaka and Fukuoka. In 1962, the original store was opened in the Ginza area of Tokyo.

In 1965, the National Museum hosted an exhibition of exhibits from the tomb of Tutankhamun, which was visited by 1.29 million people, where Miyamoto presented his series of jewelry from scarabs.

In 1982, Miyamoto prepared a trophy for the Japanese Open, commissioned by the Japan Golf Association.
In 2012, the old building in which Miyamoto Shoko was located was restored, which forced the store to move to another building in the Ginza area. The new store has a gallery corner with expositions of old and ancient works made by Miyamoto in the entire history of the company.
