Innocence Lost

Drawings and illustrations, 42×29×1 cm

Description of the artwork «Innocence Lost»

The following Illustrations are from a body of work loosely called 'Innocence Lost'inspired by the book 'Lord of the Flies' by William Goulding where he explores similar notions with further inspiration from the likes of various TV tropes and other authors such as Charles Perrault and Jenny Hubbard. This project began as a visual analysis of how as we grow older we loose much of our childlike innocence, slowly being replaced with the cynicism that many begin experiencing as early as there teens. However as time has gone in the project has evolved to incorporate many of the issues we face in the world today as these are experiences that can fundamentally change our outlook on life and have a negative impact on us growing up.
