LOOK AT THE SKY

Description of the artwork «LOOK AT THE SKY»

. In the Babylonian legends, for example, the goddess Ishtar emerged from the First War who fell into the Euphrates. In one of the legends of the ancient Egyptians, it was said that the Heavenly Goose brought an egg to the Island of Flame, and from it was born the solar god Ra, who dispelled the darkness with his light. In China, it is said that the ancestor of the people of Pangu grew in a chicken egg, and when it became cramped, it broke through the shell and found itself between Yang, who turned into the sky, and Yin, who became earth. In Russian folklore, Koscheev's death is hidden in the egg. In Christianity, the egg is one of the main symbols of the feast of Easter.
The egg is the beginning of life, and it also symbolizes offspring and new life.
If you look at the egg, it consists of three parts: the shell, white and yolk. I used the idea of rebirth. But it is also a symbol of the fact that something must hatch from each time, and the shell is like the firmament of heaven. But there is a more intimate meaning in this work. In the second and third chapters of the revelations of John the Theologian, you can read the prophecies that speak of seven periods of human development after the coming of Christ, and describe seven churches. The church is also called the bride of the Lord. The penultimate chapter says that the heavenly city is also the bride of the Lord. The circle closes. I presented the image of seven girls who hover in egg spheres as the embodiment of seven periods of conditional time.
In order to create the illusion of a leaving perspective, I have depicted arches, and, if possible, collected images of different styles — these are both classicism and gothic, elements of Moorish style. The outgoing lines resemble minarets, by which I wanted to say that all styles are a manifestation of heavenly beauty.
