Protopopov Nikolay Adrianovich (1876–1960)
Painter, schedule
He studied at the Higher Art School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture at the IAH (1906-1912). He lived in Petersburg (Petrograd), Moscow. He worked as a landscape painter. Member and exhibitor of the Society of Artists. A.I. Kuindzhi (1909–1930). Participated in Spring exhibitions in the halls of the IAH (1910s), exhibitions of the Society of Independent (1910–1917), the Partnership of Artists (1922–1923), Petrograd artists of all directions (1923), the anniversary exhibition of fine arts (1927), and the 1st citywide exhibition of fine arts (1930) in St. Petersburg (Petrograd - Leningrad), AHRR (1926), "Artists of the RSFSR for XV years" (1932–1934) in Moscow and Leningrad, the Artists' Association named after I.E. Repin (1928) in Moscow and others. As a temple artist, Nikolai Protopopov painted more than 20 temples, namely, the Cathedral Church of the Tikhvin Icon of the Mother of God in Dankov and the Intercession Academic Church of the Trinity-Sergius Lavra.
